General Hospital star Denise Alexander dead at 85

Denise Alexander, the beloved soap opera star best known for her role as Dr. Lesley Webber on General Hospital, has passed away at 85. She began her career in 1966 on Days of Our Lives as Susan Martin, later joining General Hospital in 1973, where she became a fan favorite for over a decade.

After leaving the show in 1984, she briefly appeared on Another World and returned to GH in 1996. Alexander remained a recurring guest on General Hospital until her final appearance in 2021.She passed away on March 5, 2025, though the news was not made public until May 9. General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini paid tribute to her, praising her pioneering role as one of the first female doctors on daytime TV.Fans and colleagues, including Days of Our Lives star Susan Seaforth Hayes, expressed heartfelt condolences. Alexander’s legacy as a trailblazer in daytime television remains strong, with fans remembering her for her talent, grace, and impact on the industry. Rest in peace.
