Perrette’s life, woven with ambition and change, was not just about her career. Born in New Orleans, she grew up moving across the southern United States. Her dreams ranged from working with animals and joining a rock band to becoming an FBI agent. After studying criminal justice at Valdosta State University and then in New York City, she found herself embracing an eclectic mix of jobs, including bartending and promoting Taco Bell on roller skates.
Her acting career took her from commercials to a significant role as Abby Sciuto in NCIS. Perrette’s life also saw personal upheavals; she experienced the highs and lows of marriage and the eventual heartache of divorce. Despite these challenges, she continued to pursue her passions, including poetry and writing. Her departure from NCIS and subsequent retirement from acting in 2020 marked the end of a significant chapter in her multifaceted life.
